Alan Staggs, 73, of Missoula passed away Monday, January 1, 2024.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2023 at Garden City Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at gardencityfh.com.

Alan Dwayne Staggs, son of Alvin and Johanna (Kester) Staggs, was born August 29, 1950 in Tacoma, Washington.  He joined the United States Army before graduating high school and obtain his GED in the service.  Alan continued his education with the Army obtaining college credit for an Electrician Certificate.  He worked as an application engineer for a computer manufacturer and later as an electrician in Missoula.  Alan was united in marriage with Elizabeth Williams on February 14, 1970 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada; three daughters were born to this union.

Alan was a Jack-of-all-trades and was always fixing things for his neighbors, friends and family.  He was the type who never really met a stranger, a real all round positive person.  He loved being a grandpa to his many grandchildren.  Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Staggs; three daughters, Theresa (Micheal) Leedle; Tiger Lily (Brad) Wagner; Goldie (Anthony) Mitchell; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren; eight siblings, Ace Staggs; Jan Murray; Wendy Lewis; Roxann Johnson; Alvin “Buddy” Staggs; Kirk Staggs; Glee Beckham; Suzie Humphrey; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Johanna Staggs.
