Alex Nathaniel Lakey, 32, of Missoula passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at St. Patrick Hospital. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Wingate Inn (5252 Airway Blvd., Missoula, MT 59808). Online condolences may be left at gardencityfh.com.
Alex Nathaniel Lakey, son of Donald and Susan (Johns) Lakey, was born January 1, 1988 in Pocatello, Idaho. He attended Big Sky High School and later obtained his GED. Alex was a highly intelligent young man who had to struggle with many physical ailments. He loved gaming both on his PC and his PlayStation. Alex was an avid Magic the Gathering card collector who enjoyed putting decks together for new players. He had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his cat, Peaches. Alex enjoyed spending time with his friends, Kenny G, being his best friend. Above all else, Alex was a loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Susan Lakey of Missoula; brother Cody (Molly) Lakey of Missoula; sister, Lacey Lakey of Missoula; nieces, Sciley and Shaylyn Lakey; his cat, Peaches; extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lakey (Feb. 2020).
