Arthur Porter

"Art" Porter, 96, of Huson, MT was brought into the loving arms of his savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by his family, on Friday, March 24, 2023.

He was born April 10, 1926, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Laura and Wilfred Porter. He married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Porter, in Los Angeles in 1947. They were a true testament to true love, as they were married for almost 70 years. 

He enlisted in the Navy March 30, 1944

and served as a radioman aboard the USS Endymion during WWII. He later went on to become a school teacher.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Porter, and 2 children, Ellen and Jeffery Porter. He is survived by three children, Diane (Bob) Wikum, Janet Porter, Steven (Joyce) Porter, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

The funeral Mass will be held at 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Missoula, MT on March 30, 2023. 

The burial will be held at 1pm at the Western MT State Veteran Cemetery. 

There will be a reception to follow at the family's home in Huson.
