Ashley Nichole Luthje (Bartels)

Our beautiful Ashley Nichole Luthje peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 13, 2022.

Ashley was born on June 10, 1991 to Steve and Cheri Bartels in Missoula, MT. She grew up in Hamilton, MT with three siblings. Growing up, Ashley loved to swim and spend time with her family and friends.

Following high school, she moved to Bozeman, MT to pursue a degree in Animal Science. It was in Bozeman that she met and fell in love with the love of her life Hans Luthje. Following college, they moved to Phillipsburg, MT and started building a wonderful life together. Hans and Ashley tied the knot on June 24, 2017 and went on to have 2 beautiful daughters, Jordynn Nichole and Charlotte Mae.

Ashley loved her whole family, they were her world. She had a huge heart and loved everyone. She was always there for her family and friends without a second thought. She also loved her dogs, Axel and Bella, they brought her so much joy! Ashley truly enjoyed her job at Phillipsburg School working alongside her best friend, Erin. She cared so much about the kids and looked forward to seeing them every day. Ashley was so full of life and cherished every moment with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Hans Luthje and daughters Jordynn and Charlotte of Phillipsburg, MT. Parents Steve and Cheri Bartels of Hamilton, MT. Siblings Cassandra Bartels of Missoula, MT, Brittney (Patrick) Turner of Hamilton, MT and Jesse (Kathryn) Bartels of Colorado Springs, CO. Nephew Carter Turner, and several cousins and aunt and uncles. Ashley is preceded in death by her Grandparents Eugene and Phyillis Bartels, Uncle Brent Klippenstein, and nephew Liam Turner.

Services will be held at Canyon View Church in Hamilton, MT on July 23,2022 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the GoFundMe account set up for Ashley and Hans Luthje to assist with expenses.
