Betty A. Edmisten-Rice

Betty was born September 12, 1931 in Deer Lodge to Howard and Yvonne (Bouvier) Mayo and was educated in Deer Lodge and Sheridan schools.

She married Don Edmisten in 1949. Four children blessed this union. Later she married John S. Rice, Jr in 1967. Betty was employed by Security Mutual Life-Terry Hober Agency for 17 years.

Betty’s greatest joy was her family and caring for her grandchildren. She remained a life long member of the Episcopal Church. She spent endless hours among her flowers, not a weed to be found. Betty and John enjoyed time spend traveling and camping with the family.

Betty was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter Donna, son Dean, and Grandson Wade. Surviving family includes: Lee (Barbara) Edmisten, Linda Ruana, Spencer Rice, and her sister Helen Hudson-Rude. Other surviving members including, but not limited to, honorary daughters Karen Brown, Toni Wock, and numerous generations of grandchildren.

Betty wished to be cremated and a memorial to take place later when the flowers bloom. Ever a giving heart, she wished memorials to be sent to a charity of your choice.
