Chanda Rae Scott

Nov 13, 1975 — Sep 12, 2026

Chanda Rae (Knutson) Stanley, 50, of Stevensville, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in a motor vehicle accident in Lolo, MT, near mile marker 80.

Chanda was born on November 13, 1975, to Debra Knutson and Duncan Stanley. She grew up in Miles City, MT, but made lifelong friends everywhere she went—friends who would walk closely with her throughout life.

She had an undeniable passion for the outdoors and motorcycle rides. Chanda loved her family and was a bright light to all who knew her or crossed paths with her. She will be greatly missed by many and will continue to live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Chanda is survived by her mother and dad, Debra and Paul (Jeff) Piper; one sister; special nephew, Austen; and three sons, Zackery, Kyle, and Kaiden. She also leaves behind her best friends, Laurie and Staci.

“Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.” -Isaiah 57: 1-2

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to S.A.F.E (Bitterroot domestic abuse emergency shelter and support) or The Clothes Closet & Food Pantry in Stevensville where she donated her time.
