Cheryl Marie Spotted Wolf, age 59, passed away on July 22, 2026, in Missoula, Montana.
Cheryl was born on September 26, 1966, in Conrad, Montana, to Joanne Racine and Stanley Spotted Wolf. She was raised in Browning, Montana, where she was lovingly cared for by her grandmother and her two aunts, whose guidance and strength helped shape the remarkable woman she became.
A proud graduate of Browning High School, Cheryl valued education and continued her studies at the University of Montana Business School.
Cheryl had a deep love for music that was reflected throughout her life. She loved attending concerts and treasured those memories made with family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed bicycling and challenged herself by running marathons.
She also had a special place in her heart for animals. One of her greatest comforts was spending quiet moments snuggling with her beloved cat, Hawkeye.
Above all, Cheryl was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. She had an incredibly big heart and made it a point to share her love with those closest to her every single day. Cheryl made everyone around her feel loved, valued, and supported. Her kindness, compassion, and generosity touched countless lives, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Nickolas Rea; her sisters, Lynn and Auggie; her sons John and Silas; her daughter Jennifer; and her 5 grandchildren, Princess, Echo, Rain, Genevieve, and Janae Marie.
A Visitation will be held at Garden City Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, from 6:00-8:00pm. A Graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 30, at 11:00am.
Though Cheryl's time on earth was far too short, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
