Cleo Ann Greenwood

Aug 31, 1961 — Jul 8, 2026

Cleo Ann (Bohlin) Greenwood left this world on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, comfortable and surrounded by family and friends.

Cleo was born in Bismarck, ND, on August 31, 1961 to George and Adeline Bohlin, and grew up on a farm in Braddock, ND. She graduated from Braddock High School in 1979 then attended NDSSS in Wahpeton, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in 1981.

She moved to Bismarck, ND where she married Alan Greenwood in 1989 and they promptly started a family together welcoming Jack in 1990, Leah in 1993, and Eden in 1995. Being a mom was Cleo’s favorite job. She was always taking care of the people (and pets and plants) around her, and acted as a second mom to almost every kid who came through her purple-soaked home.

Over the course of her life, she was a basketball player, a church organ player, a taekwondo practitioner, an amateur pool player, a keyboard and piano player, an accountant, an entrepreneur, and many other titles as she supported her kids in absolutely everything they pursued. She was a lover of lake life and made countless memories at her favorite place in the world, Lake Isabel in Dawson, ND, hosting a crowd of no less than a dozen people on any given summer weekend.

A big personality with big rings and long nails to match, Cleo was always the life of the party and usually the first one to crack a joke. She was laughing until the very end, and her contagious cackle will ring in the ears of her loved ones forever.

Cleo left us too soon and will be incomprehensibly missed by her daughters Leah (Derek Abbott) Greenwood (Missoula, MT) and Eden Greenwood (Minneapolis, MN), her sister, Cloe (Randy) Frey, her brother Jon (Jessica) Bohlin, and everyone else who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Adeline Bohlin and her son, Jack Greenwood.

A special celebration of life will be held in both Missoula and Bismarck, details to come.
