Connie Lee Taylor Harwood, 81, went to Heaven on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at her home.
She was born on October 26, 1943, to Courtney and Mildred Taylor in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Connie was raised in Missoula and Hamilton, graduating from Hamilton high School in 1962. She attended U of M, met her husband, and lived in Browning. She was a welfare technician for the state of Montana. Connie bore three children: Kevin, Kelly, and Carrie.
Connie was a five-foot tall honest, direct, opinionated, law-abiding, gutsy lady. She was the strongest person I know.
Connie loved gatherings, be it reunions, birthdays, dinners, holidays, times at Placid Lake, or Henry family reunions.
She was a member of many organizations, including Weight Watchers, a health gym, Bethel Baptist Church, and the Senior Citizen Center.
Connie was excellent at many things, including sewing, cooking, keeping a tidy home, and doing taxes.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Harwood, her son, Kevin Harwood, her daughter, Carrie Haldorson, her brother, Brian (Caroline) Taylor, and her parents, Courtney and Mildred Taylor.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Brennan, of Victor, MT, her brother, Courtney Taylor, of Corvallis, MT, her sister, Kathy Troester, of Frenchtown, MT, her brother, Rick Taylor, of Missoula, MT, and her grandchildren, Michael of Ohio, and Kayla, Jacob, Adrianna, and Eli, all of Washington. Many other relatives will dearly miss her as well.
A celebration of life will take place at Garden City Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 pm with a reception following. After the reception, Connie will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 3:30 pm.
We love you, Connie.
