Cynthia "Weezy" Stokes

May 27, 1950 — December 23, 2025

Missoula

Cindy “Weezy” Stokes, 75, of Missoula passed away on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at Hope Hospice Center after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Cindy was born on May 27, 1950 in Anaconda, MT to Bob and Bonnie Cameron. As a young girl she lived with family in and around Missoula. Being the oldest of 5, she often spoke fondly of all the wonderful camping trips they took, including a couple of summers she got to spend with her Aunt Olive in Avon, MT.

Cindy graduated from Loyola Sacred Heart High School in 1968. While attending the University of Montana, she met the love of her life, Dan Stokes Jr. in bowling club. They were married and began their life together. Monte was born soon after, and within another year Marsha arrived. Cindy spent years working with her father at the Super Save Markets, while Dan was working for the City of Missoula Street Department. In 1980, they relocated to Conrad, MT to take on a new challenge in the restaurant business with in-laws Reta and Dan Stokes Sr. Cindy and Dan managed The Keg Family Restaurant in Conrad for the next 35 years.

In 1985 she welcomed daughter Danielle and a few years later had her fourth child, son, Dustin. Attending her kids’ sporting events, heading out camping or going just about anywhere for a drive made Cindy happy. A loving wife, mother and grandmother - her family was her life.

Cindy is preceded in death by her husband, Dan and her mother and father. Survivors include her son Monte (Kim) Stokes, daughter Marsha (Dan) Rogers, daughter Danielle (Daniel) Beaudin, and Dustin Stokes, along with a sister and brothers, and 8 grandchildren. (Tyne, Teryn, Taelyn, Lincoln, Liberty, Aspen, Weston, and Wren).

Cindy loved when she got to be at home, but truly enjoyed spending time at the “land” and the Missouri River. Even when relaxing, she never stopped moving! Caring, competitive and one helluva cook, Cindy meant so much to everyone who knew her. She will be truly missed.
