David Orbe

David Orbe of Alberton, Montana, passed away on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, in his West Fork Petty Creek home after a long battle with cancer. He passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family. Dave was 79 years old.

Born June 15, 1946, to Frank and Margaret Orbe, Dave attended Montana State University obtaining an Engineering Degree. Dave's professional career included a distinguished tenure as the General Manager of Western Materials / JTL Group in Missoula MT.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Orbe and brother Frank Orbe. Dave is survived by his current wife Mary Jo Orbe; children Dana (Kelly) and Cory Orbe (Jen), Tana Pendergrass (Dan) and Justin May; brothers Bob (Anna) and Stephan Massic (Sandy); Sisters Friede Todd (Mike), Anita Massic, five grandsons, one granddaughter, and two great granddaughters. Thanks to Kelci and Carmi Apland for their presence and support.

Dave enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, golfing, and going on adventures. He was always up for a good card game and left us with lots of wonderful memories. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
