Deborah Laroque

September 6, 1957 — March 9, 2025

Deborah Lucille Laroque, 67, of Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025. Deborah was born on September 6, 1957, in Livingston, Montana. She graduated from Park High School in Livingston and carried her Montana roots with her wherever life took her.

Throughout her life, Deborah called several places home-including Reno, Nevada; Tacoma, Washington; and ultimately Missoula, where she spent her later years surrounded by the beauty of the mountains and the people she loved most.

Deborah was married twice-first to Dennis Leroy Skaarland and later to Terry Laroque, and she was partners with Denny Dull for over a decade. Though their journeys eventually went separate ways, she remained friends with all and valued the relationships they shared.

A true lover of the outdoors, Deborah found joy in simple, meaningful moments: camping under the stars, floating the river, and cookouts with the family. But more than anything, she cherished time spent with family. Her happiest days were those filled with laughter, food, and connection during family get-togethers.

She was known for her generous spirit, her strong work ethic, and her remarkable ability to make others feel seen and cared for. Deborah worked in many different industries over the years, but her favorite roles were those that allowed her to help others. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back without hesitation.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Justice Miller and Christine Leona (Brown) Miller, and her beloved son, Nikolai Skaarland.

She is survived by her three daughters: Destiney (Skaarland) Masterson of Leavenworth, KS; Renee (Dull) Williams of Missoula, MT; and Tara Laroque of Missoula, MT. She is also survived by her brother, Dale Miller of St. Ignatius, MT; her sister, Delores Tecca of Livingston, MT; and her nine grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Deborah will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
