Deborah "Debbie" Elisabeth Willis

Debbie Willis, 69, of Missoula passed away May 19, 2026 at 3:45pm, at St. Patrick Hospital, as a result of a life long battle with chronic respiratory issues.

She was born February 21, 1957 in Butte, MT to Frieda and Paul Dickman. As a young girl the family moved to Missoula, where she attended Roosevelt School and Hellgate Highschool (Class of ’76). She attended college in Billings, Montana. She returned to Missoula and worked multiple positions until landing a job at Community Medical Center where she spent 37 years working as a cashier. She met Scott Willis and they were married in 1985. Their son, Beau Alan Willis, was born July 5, 1994.

She was strong in her faith and was an active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The community and dear friends she had at church were very important to her. Along with her faith, she took pride in being a wife and life-long partner to Scott for nearly 41 years. She was a proud mother to her “Miracle Baby”, Beau, who was recently married to his wife, Annie, in September 2025.

Debbie was a lover of flowers, swimming, walking her dog, sitting in the sunshine, being with her family at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp, her frequent scenic car rides with her husband and sharing pictures of her travels with her friends and loved ones. Debbie was a kind, welcoming woman with a contagious laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her bright spirit and would want everyone to remember the importance of a hug.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frieda and Paul, her brother, Rick, and sister, Ruth.

Survivors include her husband, Scott, Missoula; Son and Daughter-in-law, Beau and Annie, Phoenix, AZ; Brother Dave and his wife Lynne, Missoula; Brother Dan and his wife Becky, Whitefish, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A service will be held June 1st at 1pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a reception with refreshments to follow. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 202 Brooks St., Missoula, MT 59801.
