Denis Shoemaker

Denis Shoemaker was born in Mitchell, South Dakota, on March 24, 1939, and went to his final resting place on December 4,2025 at the age of 86.

Denis is a veteran of the United States Navy. He served from 1957 until 1962.

He married Betty Aalbers on June 6,1964. They had two children.

Denis is survived by his special friend Janet Messerli, his sister Shirley Stewart, son Jody (Lisa) Shoemaker, daughter Wendy ( Tim) Townsend, granddaughter Ceressa ( Tim) Farnes, grandson Justin (Sarah) Wallace, great grandson Brenden Farnes, many nieces and nephews and other beloved family members. He also had many "bonus" kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and being downright ornery especially if you gave it back to him. He always said if he wasn't teasing you, he didn't like you.
