Dolores Eva Pozder, age 90, of Drummond, Montana passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2025, at Hope Hospice House. She was joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, John Pozder.
Born January 18th, 1935, to Simon and Eva Hebert, Dolores lost her mother at birth. She grew up in Frenchtown, lovingly raised by her grandmother, Mrs. Lanoue. After high school Dolores earned a two-year elementary teaching certificate. She then moved to Drummond and taught third grade in Drummond Elementary School for a few years. There she met the love of her life, a high school teacher, John Pozder. The couple got married on July 14th, 1956, in Alberton, Montana.
Dolores was a long-time member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was active in the Church’s various ministries, including the Alter Society. She was also involved in the Sew n’ Sew club and the Triple Creek Quilt Guild.
From an early age, Dolores developed a deep love for the outdoors. An accomplished fisherwoman and hunter, she was the perfect partner for all of John’s adventures, sharing countless hunting and fishing trips with family and friends.
Dolores is survived by many cherished family and friends. She was predeceased in death by her husband, John.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, at 11am, on January 17th in Drummond, Montana with a potluck luncheon to be served at noon at the Drummond Community Hall. Interment will follow on January 20th, at Missoula’s Veterans Cemetery at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael Church, Drummond, Mt or a charity of your choice.
