It is with great sadness that the parents of Drew C. Veitenheimer announce he passed away in Great Falls, Montana on June 11th, 2026. He left the world way too soon.

Drew was born on February 23, 1993, to Wendy Giese and Tom Veitenheimer in Missoula. He spent the first years in Denver schools but then went on to Missoula schools, ultimately graduating from Sentinel. He also finished multiple degrees at the University of MT. The guy was nothing short of a genius in our eyes.

Drew lived a life of compassion and kindness towards others, as reflected by his career working in higher education and the Montana Council of Scouting America. He worked for several campuses including UM, Tech, and Providence. You could not find a person prouder of his work or employer. He truly loved education and giving.

A self-proclaimed “old soul,” Drew enjoyed a quiet, peaceful life in Montana. He loved this state and was proud of it. He had an encyclopedic knowledge for all things geographical, musical and sports related, and an unyielding love for reading, learning, and animals.

Drew’s memory remains forever in the hearts of his proud parents, his loving family, and his cherished friends. He was so kind, so gentle, so smart. We just know he has left for a place to quiet his mind, strengthen his soul, and wait for those that loved him deeply.

He is survived by his parents Wendy Giese and Tom (Mo) Veitenheimer, Missoula; his paternal grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and a paternal grandfather, and the early passing of 1 uncle on each side of his family, and a 2nd cousin.
