Edith Arlene Walters, age 76, of Seeley Lake, MT, passed peacefully on November 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Edie was born in Eureka, MT to Laura Evelyn and William Robert Gibson on July 4, 1946 and she was always our fire cracker.
She spent most of her childhood in Seeley Lake, MT. In October 1963, she married Wayne L. Walters and moved to Missoula, MT to raise their family. After the children were grown, they returned to Seeley Lake to live out their years. Edie was a big part of the community, she ran Edie’s Elk Horn Cafe for several years, and volunteered at the Food Bank and the Seniors Center. She enjoyed Pinochle, reading, bowling, hunting, fishing, and going on bus trips to Worley, Idaho.
Edith is survived by her 2 children, Brad Walters and Brenda (Bill) Sheppard, 3 grandchildren, Kristina Walters (Brad Stanke), Payton Sheppard, and Bryan (Jacki) Moss. 5 great grandchildren, Brielynn, Kellen, baby Edith, Bentley, and Kamden, 2 sisters Ruby Stevens and Edna Kelley, many nieces and nephews and her ornery cat, Pita.
Her ashes will be spread with her late Husband Wayne and son Bart Walters as per her wishes. A Celebration of Life / Pot Luck will be held at the Seeley Lake Senior Center on November 12th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
