Gordon Blietz Sr.

Gordon Phillip "Gordy" Blietz, Sr. ,81, of Stevensville, died peacefully May 24, 2024 surrounded by his children. He was born September 11, 1942 in Elgin, Illinois to Duane and Jeanette Blietz.

In 1963 he married Margaret L. Stewart in Dundee, Illinois. They welcomed their son one year later. They moved to Western Montana in 1966 where their family grew, inviting three daughters.

Gordy worked for Electro Service Center in Missoula for 25+ years. He also volunteered for the Three Mile Fire Dept. for 38 years, which gave him so much fulfillment. His years were also filled with horses, pigs, goats, chickens, Dexter cows, dogs and cats at home, whatever his family wanted.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Margie, of 57 years. He was survived by his children; son Gordon Jr., daughters Julie James (David), Connie Hiser (Barney), Jody Fenster (Jeff); Grandchildren Joshua James (Adrianna), Jacob Fenster (Allison), Seth Hiser( Abby), Callie Hiser; Great-Grandson Calin Fenster and Great-Granddaughter expected in the Fall. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Butch Stewart and his sister-in-law Ruby Stewart and his nieces and nephews.

A Celebration Of Life will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Three Mile Community Center, 4433 Sunnyside Cemetery Rd, Stevensville, MT, from 2 pm - 5 pm.
