Born 12/20/1945 to Ira Nicholas Peterson Caroline Kraft Peterson in Kalispell, Montana. Gordon attended St. Matthew's school in Kalispell until 8th grade in 1960. Family moved to Polson that summer and Gordon graduated from Polson High School in 1964. Worked for couple years and then Gordon went to University of Montana Western. Then was drafted by US Army in 1969 until 1970 so he could finish school with an honorable discharge as a E4 11B20 light weapons Infantryman. Gordon also did a few years in the oil fields. He also had Miscellaneous jobs mainly building buildings around state. His passion was cabinet building and furniture. Gordon went to California for a few years. There he made great changes in his life and eventually came back to Polson for the rest of his time. Loved to do wood work and make things for people. During Christmas season for many years he would build small children rocking chairs, and give them away to kids. Gordon was proceded by his grandparents mother father, step father and one brother Ira Peterson. Gordon is survived by 2 Brothers Melvin Peterson, Harvey Peterson ,wife Leanor, 2 sisters Gloria Morgonjones husband Dewi, Rose Cloninger Lowell Alcock. Many neices and nephews. Will be missed
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Polson.
