Missoula - With profound sadness we announce the passing of Grace Eileen Olson on Thursday, Feb 3, 2022 at the young age of 75.
Grace was born Nov. 13, 1946 to Bud and Freida MacDonald in Wolf Point, MT. She was the first of five children. Growing up on the N.E. rural plains, she helped her parents farm and ranch. She attended a 1-class room school house, where they held classes only in the summer, as winters were too treacherous to travel on their horse and sleigh.
After graduating from Wolf Point High School she went to Billings business school. While working with her mother at a local cafe, she met and later married James C. Olson. In 1984 she moved her family to Missoula where she began her twenty eight year profession with Farmer's Insurance.
Grace was a beautiful, kind, and caring woman who always put the needs of her family before her own. She strived to help and protect her family with continuous love and affection.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Freida MacDonald.
She is survived by her brothers, Jim (wife Charlene), and Alan MacDonald (wife Janet); her sisters, Ruby Nygaard (husband Roger), and Kay Buckles; her sons, John, Rob (wife Vicki), Rick (wife Megumi), and Scott (wife Maribeth), twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
