IIiene E. Shreve

Iliene E Shreve, 91, of Missoula, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Patrick Hospital, of natural causes.

Iliene was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Chinook, to Frank and Sarah LaValley. The first 35 years of her life were dedicated to her husband and children, then to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gardening was her passion; she loved to grow everything from prized blackberries and raspberries to peas and cucumbers. She was also an avid reader, seamstress, and quilter and in her later years she enjoyed painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Verne Shreve; her son Ronnie Shreve and her great-grandson Michael Friede.

Survivors include her three children, Patricia Braae of Missoula, Wanda Braae (Butch) of Missoula, Verne Shreve (Kay) of Florence; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister and nieces.
