James Edward "Jim" Randall

James Edward Randall, 79, of Missoula passed away in his home on Thursday, September 7, 2023, surrounded by his family. James was born on August 4, 1944, to Edward Joseph Randall and Reba Elizabeth Wehunt in Terre Haute, IN.

He joined the US Army in 1962 directly out of high school. He was an excellent sharpshooter throughout his service and worked his way up in rank to E6 Staff Sargent until he was honorably discharged in 1982. On June 23, 1967, James married the love of his life, Reba, and was married for 56 years. Throughout his career after the Army, he did multiple jobs, but his most enjoyable was over the road truck driving. He was an enthusiastic CB radio and Ham operator with the handle known as Bounty Hunter. He loved reading Louis Lamour western books.

James was preceded in death by his mother Reba E. Wehunt and father Edward J. Randall; Grandfather Oscar "Pappy" & Linnie Hughes. He is survived by his wife Reba; daughter Tamara of Missoula; son Tony Randall (Stacey) of Richmond, IN; grandson Samuel Randall (Meghan) of Fishers, IN; Granddaughters Annamarie Leigh (Allen) of Chattanooga, TN, and Jewel Randall in Bucharest, Romania; and one Great Granddaughter, Penelope.

Services will be held at the VA Cemetery in Missoula on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 9:00 AM.
