Janet A. Frey

Janet A. Frey died of natural causes at Community Medical Center on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. She was born Janet Anne Jette to Constance and Aldrich Jette on Sept. 2, 1942, in Missoula. Jan grew up in Missoula, graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1961, from the University of Montana in 1965, and worked as a research microbiologist throughout her career.

Jan married Jim Frey in Tucson, Arizona, in 1971. They deeply loved each other, and Jan treasured their 30 years together. Throughout her life, Jan loved her family and friends. She generously shared her home, her gourmet cooking, her wonderful sense of humor, and her competitive spirit, especially when playing cribbage with her brother Doug or watching a Broncos or Griz game.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings, Ernestine, Henry, Leo and Arthur. She is survived by her brother Douglas Jette and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jan had a warm, loving heart and will be dearly missed. At Jan's request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to the Missoula Food Bank.
