Jared Stewart Dahle, 53 of Missoula passed away in a tragic accident Tuesday, February 8, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at the St. Francis Catholic Church (420 W Pine St. Missoula, MT 59802). Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery (641 Turner St. Missoula, MT 59802). In lieu of flowers kindly donate to our local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 209 or American Legion Post 27 in Jared's name.

Jared Stewart Dahle, son of Morris and Sally (Brown) Dahle was born October 1, 1968 in Ontario, Oregon. As a toddler, the family moved to Sidney, Montana, where Jared was raised. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1987. He served a mission in London for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years. He continued his education at Idaho State University graduating in 1993. Jared graduated from Idaho College of Law in 1996.

Jared practiced law first in Sydney then in Billings for over 18 years with his dear friend and colleague Randy Nelson, and joined Garlington Lohn and Robinson, PLLP., in 2017 where he was honored to be a part of the oldest law firm in Montana. He was united in marriage with Nancy Burgoyne on August 31, 2016 in Billings, Montana.

Jared was a highly experienced and talented civil litigation and trial attorney and he loved practicing law. Jared enjoyed a peer rating of distinguished with Martindale-Hubbell for high professional achievement and ethical standing and is included The Best Lawyers in America in the area of insurance litigation by selection of his peers. He has also been recognized in Montana States Super Lawyers each year since 2014 based on peer recognition and professional achievement in the area of civil litigation defense. He had many positive results in the courtroom. He practiced before all Montana courts: the United States District Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth District, and the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Court. He donated hundreds of hours to those who needed legal assistance. He helped his wife with children who had been placed in foster care and he spent countless hours listening to others and enjoyed mentoring young lawyers.

Jared loved Montana and he loved Missoula. Most of all he loved his family and he loved people. He was a wonderful conversationalist and enjoyed visiting about his experience growing up in the family bee keeping business, current events, politics, books, movies and complex legal issues and theories.
He was a wonderful skier and he loved to fish and hike. He had an amazing sense of humor and everyone loved his quick wit and charm. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, soon to be grandfather, uncle and friend and he will be missed and remembered by all. Jared was anxiously awaiting his first grandchild; quietly hoping for a grandson after having 4 sisters, 3 daughters, and 2 step-granddaughters.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Burgoyne; parents, Morris and Sally Dahle; daughters, Sarah Dahle; Julia Dahle and (Seth Vigesaa), Olivia Dahle; stepchildren, Charles (Allison) Burgoyne; Genevieve Burgoyne; Gabrielle Burgoyne; two step granddaughters, Jacqueline and Chloe Burgoyne four sisters; Jennifer Merrill, Becki Carroll, Janae Frank, and Wendy Carey. nieces, nephews extended family and a host of friends.
