Jared Leon Dowty

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jared Leon Dowty on June 21, 2026. Jared was 36 years and deeply loved by his family, friends and co-workers. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Garden City Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Online condolences may be left at gardencityfh.com.

He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his sweet and kind demeanor, and his willingness to listen and empathize. Jared was an extremely talented writer and musician.

Jared is survived by his mother, Judy L. Dowty of Lolo, his brother, Ryan Dowty of Sula and his sister, Morgan Nuvill (Holden) of Newport Washington. Also Jared is survived by his aunts; Jean Moore of Stevensville, Linda Spaulding of Deer Lodge, Debra Gilson (Frank) previously of Kittitas Washington-just recently of Enoch, Utah, his Uncle Dean (Shaunda) of Berea, Kentucky, one niece, Paris of California and 3 nephews, Raiden, Ryker, and Royce of California and one nephew, Harrison of Newport Washington.

Jared is preceded in death by his father, Roger Greg Dowty, his grandmother Doris Hildebrand, his grandfather, Leon Jay Dowty his uncle Willman Spaulding and his cousins, Wyatt and Caleb Havens.
