It is with both sorrow and immense gratitude that we celebrate the life of Joan Marie Jasumback-a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joan passed away peacefully in Missoula, Montana, at the age of 86.
Born in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, Joan's life was one filled with love, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear. For 67 beautiful years, she and her beloved husband, Tony, walked hand in hand, showing us all what true partnership and unwavering commitment look like. Their love was a living example for all who were fortunate enough to witness it.
Joan found joy in the simple, wondrous things - the whispering leaves, the rhythm of a well-cooked meal, the strokes of a paintbrush, the pages of a well-loved book. She was a teacher in the truest sense, passing down names of flora and fauna, instilling an appreciation for the beauty of the natural world, and cultivating curiosity and warmth in every life she touched. Her wisdom, patience, and radiant spirit will live on through the traditions she built and the love she poured into those around her.
Joan's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving husband of 67 years, Tony Jasumback; her children, Mark & Lisa Jasumback, Cis & Gary Brower, and Mike Jasumback; her adoring grandchildren, Don & Ann, Andrew & Janiere, Caitlyn & Alex, Sarah, Megan, Amelia, Abby, and Adrienne; and her precious great-grandchildren, Louis, Celeste, and Jules . Each of them carries a piece of her warmth and wisdom.
Joan reunites in eternal peace with her daughter-in-law Danine Jasumback and her brother Jim Hastings, who passed before her.
Her love remains woven into the hearts of those she leaves behind - a love that will be carried forward in laughter, shared meals, and stories told beneath the stars.
-Amen
