Joanne Marie Lindstrand

Smart, funny, caring Joanne died suddenly of natural causes on October 7, 2021. She was born in Fairbanks, AK on July 29,1962 to Everett and Mary Lindstrand, their second daughter. Sadly, her mother died when she was eight. After her sister Martha’s marriage in 1974, Everett and Joanne made a fresh start in Coeur d’Alene, ID. After high school, Joanne went to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. In 1990 she moved to Missoula, sharing an apartment and later a house with her best friend Kate Kronen. She said she found a real life in Missoula. She enjoyed music, contra dancing, reading, and knitting. She worked as a Merry Maid and at Health Directory, then took a job at Mars Stout as an interviewer. She loved her co-workers.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by Martha; nephews and nieces Adam, Seth, Gabe and Rachel and their children; her fiancé, Phil Stauffer; and many friends, including John and Kate Kronen.
