John Allen Bryan, 67, of Missoula took his own life on April 30, 2025.
He was born on September 3, 1957 in Missoula, to Ralph and Anne Bryan. He attended Franklin Elementary School and Hellgate High School. He proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1976 to 1979. Upon returning to Missoula he began working in the shop for 4G PLUMBING AND HEATING, INC. He worked his way through the ranks becoming a Master plumber and an owner until his retirement in 2015.
John and Melody Carey began dating in April of 1978. They had a daughter, Tricia in September of 1979 and married Melody in April of 1980. They remained in Missoula until retirement. John and Melody began wintering in Anthem, Arizona but always returned to Missoula to enjoy the Spring, Summer and Fall.
Our greatest enjoyment in retirement was helping our daughter open a preschool just down the street. As a family we remodeled a home to make it a preschool . He was the foreman on the project and taught us all so much about construction. With a crew of mostly women he was patient and kind. When the kiddos were out playing they would keep a close eye on what Grandpa was doing at his shop and many times he would get on his ATV and drive over to the preschool where the kids would run across the yard to greet him. We had no idea how much those children would touch our hearts.
Survivors include his wife, Melody, daughter, Tricia (David) Owens, Granddaughters, Rylee Owens, Nashville, Ashlee Owens, Missoula, Presley Roose, Arizona, Grandson, Hendrix Roose, Arizona, Niece Tiffany (Hakon) Roose, Arizona.
