John Dudik III

March 10, 1943 – September 22, 2025

Born in Cleveland, Ohio — Passed away in Missoula, Montana

It is with great love and sadness that the family of John Dudik III announces his passing. Born on March 10, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Pauline (Sakosky) Dudik and John Dudik II, John built a life rooted in family, community, and the outdoors he so deeply cherished. He grew up alongside his brother, David Dudik, with whom he shared lifelong family ties.

John was a man who found peace and joy in nature. He especially loved fishing and spending time outdoors, whether on Montana’s rivers or in the quiet beauty of its forests. Those close to him will remember his steady presence, his love of sharing stories, and his gift for making time with him feel both meaningful and easy.

John married Brenda Beckett Dudik on November 8, 1968. John shared a devoted marriage with Brenda and together they raised two daughters who brought immense pride to his life: Kimberly Dudik and Lisa Dudik Gohrick. He found great joy with his grandchildren — Alex and Johnny Gohrick, and Marcutio, Isabella, Siena, and Xavier Dudik-Lowy — each of whom he adored and delighted in watching grow. He held all of them as babies in his lap and sang Mulberry Bush to them, to their excited joy.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, John’s legacy is one of warmth, generosity, deep connection, and a love of the Montana outdoors. His family and friends will forever carry with them the memory of his love for the outdoors, his appreciation for the simple things in life, and the strength and kindness he gave so freely.

A small family service will be held. For those wanting to honor John, In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local conservation organization in John’s memory — a fitting tribute to a man who valued the natural beauty of Montana and the people around him.

John Dudik will be remembered always with love.
