Marshall Odell

John “Marshall” Odell, 78, of Missoula, passed away on November 3rd, 2021, at St. Patrick Hospital. Marshall was born on October 29, 1943, AD, in Lemmon, South Dakota, to John & Evelyn Odell. He grew up Lemmon and graduated from Thunderhawk High School in 1960. Marshall moved to Montana in 1967 and was in the National Guard from 1960 to 1968.

He began his career as a mechanic at Craft’s Conoco in the 1970’s, which evolved into him becoming a Master Mechanic at Peterson Motors and then University Motors, where he worked for over 20 years.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he also took great pleasure in helping friends and his church. On Nov 29, 1992, he married Debra in Missoula.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents John and Evelyn, brother Wesley, son Joe and daughter in law Becky.

He is survived by his wife Debra; Children Travis(Julie), Melissa(Matthew), Greg, JR(Cindy), Chris(Michelle), and Jen(Chris); Grandchildren Greyson, Tyler, Trevor, Jared, Jaxson, Thomas, Rina, Sonia, Matthew Jr, Nythaniel, Amanda, Cory, Alaynee, Farrah, Naomi, Whittney, Brittany, James, Adam, Ty, Colby, Boe, Daughter In-Law Becky Odell (Joe) ; Great Grandchildren Lincoln, Joseph, Novah, Fischer, Finlee, Ali, David, Becca, Tia, Ja Shaun, Jalen, and Jacobi and sisters Sandy and Nancy.

Marshall will always be remembered for his humor and anyone who ever asked would know he was “Fantastic”.
