Judith Laughrun

                Judy Laughrun, 81, of Missoula, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 8, 2024.

                Judy was born on September 11, 1942 in Missoula, Montana to parents Toney and Geraldine Dolum. She attended Catholic school in Missoula and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1960. After graduation, Judy worked as a telephone operator for The Bell Telephone System for many years followed by twenty plus years as a receptionist at the Village Senior Residence in Missoula.

                On August 26, 1972, Judy married Steve Laughrun at Christ the King Catholic Church in Missoula, MT.  In 1986, Judy and Steve welcomed daughter Meghanne Marie into the world. This was one of the happiest days of their lives. Judy enjoyed attending many of Meghanne’s activities and was always the proud cheerleader in the crowd.

                Judy loved planting flowers in the springtime, enjoyed many outdoor activities, such as, jogging, walking and XC skiing, and hosting dinners and parties for friends, family and neighbors. Judy’s cooking, warm smile and contagious laugh brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.

                Judy is survived by husband, Steve, daughter Meghanne Marie Paske and husband Marcus, Grandchildren Abbie and Beau Paske, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded ideath by parents Toney and Geraldine Dolum and sister Sharon Vogel.

                There will be a family graveside memorial at Horton Hills Cemetery in Yancey County, North Carolina, later this summer.

                Many thanks for loving family and friends for their help and dedication during Judy’s final days. The family would also like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the nurses, Alyssa and Hannah of Enhabit Hospice. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Enhabit Hospice of Missoula, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association. Services are pending at this time.
