Judythe Marie Burback

MISSOULA ~ Judythe Marie Burback of Missoula, Montana passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 of natural causes.

Judythe was born October 30, 1937 in Pana, Illinois to Henry and Helen (Staudacher) Winters.  Judythe spent her childhood years in Illinois, moving to Boulder, Colorado as a teenager, attending Boulder High School.  She graduated in 1955 with honors.  She then attended the University of Colorado with scholarships for the study of fine arts.  While attending studies, she met her husband, William Burback.  They were married shortly after his graduation in 1956.  They lived in Denver and Northglenn, transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah and finally settled in Missoula, Montana for retirement in 1999.

Four children were born of the marriage; William Bradley Burback of Huson, Montana, David George Burback of Missoula, Montana, Linda Marie Burback Dominguez of Parker, Colorado and Susan Ann Burback of Evergreen, Colorado.  There are also ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Judythe loved music and the arts.  She especially favored classical composers and symphony and visiting art galleries and exhibitions was a favorite pastime.  She was an avid supporter of the Missoula Symphony and loved anything Picasso.  One of her high school drawings won national acclaim and was displayed in the Carnegie Institute.

Simply, Judythe was a person of goodness.  Always a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.  Devoted to helping others, she worked with disabled and disadvantaged children obtaining financial and medical resources.

There is so much to say about a life well lived and loved well by all.
