Lisa B. Whiteman-RunsHim, born Lisa B. Flynn, 50, of Missoula, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at St. Patrick Hospital, with loved ones by her side.
She was born on February 22, 1975, in Moses Lake, Washington, to Michael and Carolyn Flynn and moved to Missoula in 1985.
Beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, Lisa was the heart of her family: strong, resilient, loving, and endlessly giving. To know her was to feel truly cared for.
Lisa devoted her life to her friends and family. Being a mother was her greatest joy, and her love was fierce, selfless, and unconditional. She taught the importance of kindness, strength, and showing up for one another: lessons that will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She found joy in faith, time with family, fishing, camping in Ninemile, sitting by a fire, sharing a good drink, dancing, gardening, helping others, and caring for her pets: dogs Luke, Molly, and Mia, horse Lily, and cats Fred, Morris, and Gigi. Her warmth left an indelible mark on everyone who crossed her path.
She is survived by her son, Cody Flynn; husband, Nathaniel Whiteman-RunsHim; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Staci Flynn and family; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and James Irish and family; parents, Michael Flynn and Carolyn Kramer; stepmother, Sue Flynn; father and mother-in-law, Norman and Lynn Morrison; brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Kayla Whiteman-RunsHim and family; brother-in-law, Arlis Whiteman-RunsHim; aunt, Barb Whiteman and countless friends and family who will forever carry her love in their hearts. She is reunited with her grandparents, Emmett “Bud” and Katherine Flynn; grandmother, Margaret Kramer; aunt, Dorothy Middleton; aunt, Mary Kramer; and cousins, Dennis and Judith Kramer, and Jim Austin. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace; free from pain, worry, and fear.
Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the time we had with her. Her love and strength will continue to guide us, and her presence will always be felt in the lives she shaped so beautifully.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Garden City Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held in summer 2026; details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe to assist with medical expenses incurred during her care. We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and kindness shown during this difficult time.
