Madelon I Connell

Madelon “Maddie” Irene Connell passed away peacefully on September 11, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 8, 1953, in New York City to John and Madelon Connell. From growing up in Greenwich, CT, to living and traveling all over the country from Alaska to Texas and finally settling down in Missoula, MT, Maddie lived a courageous and exceptionally full life, experiencing more than her share of adventures and collecting stories, memories, and friends along the way. In 1979, she married the love of her life, Randy Clifford Lynn. Randy was already a devoted father to his two daughters, and together, Maddie and Randy welcomed three children of their own: Nicholas, Clifford, and Jesse. Randy passed away in 1994, leaving Maddie to carry on the family they had built together. Through the years, she remained a devoted mother and grandmother. From water fights in the house to blasting music while cleaning the house or driving down the road, she always had a positive attitude and drive for living life to the fullest. Taking her family skiing around the West and on many memorable road trips. Her family was at the heart of her life, and watching her family grow was one of her greatest joys.

Maddie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Madelon Connell; husband, Randy Lynn; daughter-in-law, Nikki Lynn; and granddaughter, Bella Elizabeth Lynn.

Maddie is survived by her children, Denise (Mark) Warnken, Nicholas (Nelly) Lynn, Clifford (Kathryn) Lynn, and Jesse (Chris) Coulter, and her beloved grandchildren, Wyatt, Spencer, Alex, Brady, Noah, Bennet, Ruth, Millie, Opal Rose, and the many people who also called her Mom over the years. Maddie will be remembered for her resilient spirit, loyalty, her unique way of seeing the world, and the love she gave to her many dogs and family. She lived a life filled with experiences, challenges, laughter, and memories that will continue to be shared by the people who loved her. Her greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind. Her story will live on through her children, her grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched along the way. She was deeply loved, and she will be missed greatly.

A celebration of life will be held on January 8, 2027. Details will be announced at a later date.
