Marian Zachariasen

Marian “Ma Zach” Zachariasen, 95, of Missoula, Montana, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, surrounded by family. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Zachariasen, and by her lifelong partner, Wilburn Knutson. 

Marian is lovingly survived by her brother, George Rangitsch, and his wife, Susan; her children: Allan (Judy) Zachariasen, Stanley Zachariasen, Patty (Patrick) Johnson, Sandy (Jim) Jackson, and Susan (Monte) Zachariasen. She will also be remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, and friends who cherished her warmth, wisdom, and sense of humor.

 Marian, affectionately known as “Ma Zach,” lived a long life rooted in love for her family and community. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Garden City Funeral Home in Missoula.
