Mark Robert Thorsell

Mark R. Thorsell, 57, formerly of Wethersfield, CT, passed away on February 26, 2026 in Missoula, MT.

Mark will always be remembered for his devotion to his family and sense of humor. He had a love of history, current events, politics and journalism, especially radio. Early in his career he got his start as a volunteer turned employee at CRIS radio while also working as a traffic reporter, radio DJ, and newscaster at various radio stations throughout the state of Connecticut. He then relocated to Montana with his family and worked in news production at KPAX for nearly twenty years. He also was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Hartford Whalers (when they were still around).

He is survived by his loving wife Christi Manning Thorsell; his two daughters, Kiahna and Anikah; his two granddaughters; his mother Regis; his brother Steven and his wife Michelle.

The family wishes to extend their most sincere gratitude to friends and family for their continuing support.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at a later date in Connecticut.
