Marvin Arthur Brewin

Marvin Arthur Brewin, 89, of Missoula, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Beehive Homes, of natural causes. He was born on February, 24, 1933, in Missoula, Montana to Arthur M. and Elithe (Magee) Brewin.

On July 3, 1954, he married (Ula) Jean Chaffin in Missoula. They lived in Missoula their entire lives and spent many wonderful years together. One of their favorite things to do was take road trips to wherever!

Marvin enjoyed rockhounding, gardening, automotive engine repairs, woodworking and coffee! His CB handle was “Coffee Cup”. He loved the many dogs he had throughout his life and never knew a stranger. He was involved in the Masonic Missoula Lodge 13 AM&FM and was a Worshipful Master of the lodge in 1974. He retired from Smurfit Stone Container, after 31 years, at the age of 70. After retirement he enjoyed his time spent being with the love of his life, Masons and Monday morning with his coffee group of Smurfit Stone Container retirees.

Survivors include his daughter Becky (Neil A.) Maier, Missoula; granddaughters, Kristen (Chris) Totzauer, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Nicole (Glen) Thompson, Florence, Montana, and  great-grandchildren Hunter and Cheyenne Thompson. He was preceded in death by beloved his wife, Jean. Also his parents Arthur and Elithe, and sisters Althea Monroe and Irene Baggett.

The family would like to thank the loving staff at Beehive Homes as well as the caring staff of Big Sky Hospice and Palliative who helped him through his final journey on earth.

There will be a Memorial Reception on Friday, December 30, 2:00 p.m. at Garden City Funeral Home, the service will be livestreamed on Marvin’s obituary page.
