Morris "Moe" Olson

Morris “Moe” Olson, 68, of Missoula passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 at St. Patrick Hospital.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Sunrise Saloon (1101 Strand Ave. Missoula, MT 59801). Online condolences may be left at

Morris Henry Olson, son of Morris Olson and June (Verworn) Perrine, was born August 12, 1954 in Missoula, Montana.  He attended schools in the Missoula area and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1972.  After graduating he began working at various mills in the Missoula area and spent 40+ years as a Mill Wright and Mill Wright Trainer.  He was known for his hard work and punctuality.

Moe was an avid outdoorsman and one of the best fisherman in Western Montana.  He had a presence about him and always made an impact on the people he met.  Moe was a jokester pulling pranks his whole life, all the way to the last week in the hospital.  Above all else, he was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and tremendous friend.  He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. 

Moe is survived by his two children, Jim (Ronnie Spicknall) Olson; Julie Robinson; four grandsons, Tanner Olson; Bridger Olson; Cody Robinson; Logan Robinson; siblings, Miles Olson; Claire Perrine; Kathy (Mark) Adams; Larry Perrine; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June Perrine, and step-father, Larry Perrine.
