Nicholas Alan Ball passed away at the age of 30 on Thursday, May 19, 2022. He left this world too soon and will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Nick was born to Steven and Twila Ball on December 23, 1991, in Missoula, Montana. He had a loving spirit and generous heart. He always loved to make people smile and laugh. As a young boy he lived with his family in the Nine Mile Mountains.

Nick got his pilot car and flagger certification 2 years ago in hopes of working alongside his Mom and Uncle Troy. Unfortunately, the disease had progressed and he wasn’t able to continue to drive.

He had a great love for the Rams football team since he was in Kindergarden. It only seems right they won the Super Bowl Championship in 2022. Nick loved heckling those who chose other teams.

Nick often went on hikes with his family and dog, Blaze. He had many hobbies and joys. He loved fishing with his Mom, golfing with his family, and folfing. Nick enjoyed playing video games and was always down to watch a movie. He participated in 4H from the time he was 8 years old until he was in high school. He made many friends and enjoyed showing his various animals.

From the time Nick was a year old, he loved snowmobiles, four wheelers, and motorcycles. Many happy hours of riding were spent with his sister, and friends. Nick enjoyed doing tricks on his motorcycle and often had his sister try to be the photographer.

He loved Montana. Whenever he visited his sister or uncle, it reiterated his love of the mountains and cool weather. He enjoyed going into the mountains to shoot tannerite with his many guns. In his usual fashion of being a jokester, he told his sister that his Semi-Automatic 12-gauge shotgun wouldn’t kick.

He leaves behind his parents, Twila and Steve Ball, and his sister, Natasha Ball, who love him more than words can express. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandmothers, Connie Wiedrich and Geraldine Ball; his uncles Troy Munsch, Stacey Ball, Terry Munsch, Rod Braae; his aunts, Tammy Braae, Sandy Munsch; and cousins, including but not limited to, Shelby, Ashley, Troy Jr., Rebecca, Justen, Gage, Kaylie, Jacob, Lilly, Lacee, Cody, and Jackie. His beloved dog, Blaze, will also miss him and his hugs dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Eugene Ball Jr., Raymond Wiedrich, Florence and Dick Daniels, Hilma Ahl, and Eugene and Eleanor Ball.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Garden City Funeral Home with potluck to follow. The family is requesting that people wear blue in honor of Nick as it was his favorite color.
