Patricia L Packer, 89, of Missoula passed away April 22, 2026. At the springs in Missoula. Patricia was born on March 18, 1937, in Great Falls, Montana. She is the daughter of Carl William and Ida Lilly (Kampnar) Tucker.
Pat attended grade school in Great Falls and Bozeman. She graduated from Gallatin County High School in Bozeman, in 1955
Pat married Earl A Packer the love of her life, on May 29, 1955. They celebrated 61 years of marriage. They lived in several locations in Montana; Missoula, Great Falls, and Billings. Earl was transferred to Anchorage, Alaska in 1985. In 1990 they retired, bought a motor home and traveled full time for 14 years. They enjoyed traveling. Besides the lower 48 states they spent time in Hawaii, Australia, Canada, and took several cruises. They gave up travel in 2004 and settled in Missoula. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Earl as well as her mother and father; two brothers Carl William Tucker (Sonny) Jr, and Donald Wilbur (Bud) Tucker and her sister Jean Schmidt.
She is survived by her son David and Daughter-in-law Maitree. As well as daughter Nyla Jean and Son-in-law Mike Shaw, as well as four grandchildren Jeremy (Emily), Jason, Shane (Laura) and Mariah (Adam) Packer; and five great grandchildren. A special thank you to the staff of The Springs at Missoula. And the kind staff of Stillwater Hospice.
