Patricia Yuhas

November 17, 1961 — August 16, 2025

Patricia “Patty” Noreen Yuhas, 63, of Helena passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, (the same day as her beloved mothers birth) at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula of breast cancer.

Patty was born on November 17, 1961, at St. Johns hospital in Helena to Bradley and Noreen Yuhas. She was the youngest of nine children, which included six boys and three girls including herself. From the very beginning, she was unique and felt deeply, a soul who seemed to live louder, laugh harder and loved deeper than most.

As a young child Patty attended Ray Bjork for elementary school, Helena Jr. High and later graduated from Helena High School in 1980. During her high school years, she was a proud member of the Bengalettes, a role that reflected her spirited nature and school pride. It was there in Helena that Patty formed lifelong friendships that never loosened their hold. This was where her laugh echoed the loudest, where her smile shone brightest and where she built a chosen family of friends. Her friends love her fiercely, but none more so than her best friend and soul sister Lori of 56 years.

Patty held many jobs in her lifetime. Patty began working at her first job Burger King at the age of 15. Patty later than worked at Northwestern (Norwest) bank for 15 ½ years and transitioned to working at Department of Transportation in the motor carrier services division. After leaving transportation Patty started working in the Department of Revenue in the cashier department for several years. Patty enjoyed working at Helena Industries in Helena as well when it was running. Patty ended her working years with Conduent in Helena, where she was employed for four years.

She was the devoted mother of her daughter Bailey and cherished grandmother to Krislyn. Patty’s love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she was known for embracing all of her daughter’s friends as if they were her own children. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on many young lives.

Patty is survived by her siblings: brothers Mark (Karen), Dean (Chris), Ed (Ginny), Dennis (Mary) and Phil (Susie); sisters Marcia and Pam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness and presence.

She is preceded in death by her mother Noreen, father Bradley, her maternal and paternal grandparents and brother Loren.
