Paulette Adair Baird - Mother, Grandmother, Friend May 24, 1946 - January 15, 2026
Paulette passed away due to complications of open heart surgery.
Paulette was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She grew up in Eastern Montana with her mother and her twin brothers. In her early twenties she met Stan Baird in Montana. They moved to Palm Desert, CA where they raised their son Shaun and owned a successful glass business.
In 1995 Paulette moved back to Missoula, MT to be close to her family again. She spent many years doing bookkeeping and running her lemon-aid / hot dog cart at the farmer’s market. She also maintained a small house cleaning service until the time of her passing.
In 1999 Paulette became a grandmother. She spent the rest of her life devoted to her grandchildren. She taught them how to craft, about gardening, the value of money, and even how to drive! All her grandchildren worked several summers at the market with her at her stand.
Paulette was fantastic at sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She almost always had something in the works showcasing her talent. She could mend any piece of clothing. Paulette made all the alterations to both her daughter-in-law and her granddaughter's wedding dresses, and they were forever grateful.
Paulette was also a devoted pet owner and rescuer. Her many pets were always a priority to her. She often fostered pets as well.
Paulette was also a breast cancer survivor.
Paulette was preceded in death by her two brothers Dave and Doug, and her Mother Margaret.
Paulette is survived by her only son Shaun, his wife Sharman, their three children: Christina Dewar (John), Shaun Jr. and Shane (Jadelynn) Baird. Also, several nieces and nephews, and her cats and dog.
