Robert Vasecka passed away June 21, 2022 in Butte after a struggle with dementia for several years. Bob was born May 27, 1934 in Mahnomen, Mn. The third child of Charles and Pauline (Mumm) Vasecka. As an infant he moved with his family to eastern Montana, gradually moving westward until settling in Frenchtown where he attended local schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957 which included a stint in Korea. He married Patricia Luedtke on June 28, 1958. He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Kate Anderson (Art) son Charley, daughter Caranne Gainley (Todd), daughter Mary Gallagher (Tim Smith), son Tom (Denise). There are 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, plus a special nephew Ken Cyr and sister-in-law Coleen Ferris. Bob was a logger for many years then began a lengthy career as a self employed floor coverer. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and all his siblings sister Anne Cyr Anderson, brother Louis, sisters Rosalia Gould, Mary Cantor, and a grandson Steven Anderson. Services will be June 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church in Missoula.
