Roberta “Bobbie” Pat Erickson, 76, of Missoula, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 of natural causes.
She was born November 7, 1948 to Robert and Shirley James in Butte. After graduating high school she had two beautiful children, Shayne and Peggy. They were her entire world.
In 1983 she met the love of her life, Harlan Erickson, at The Cabin Bar in East Missoula. They were married June 23, 1984 and built a life of love and happiness together with their new blended family which included 3 beautiful girls, and two handsome boys.
She loved spending time with family and friends playing board games, making jokes, and sharing her love. Whenever you walked into her home you were surrounded by love. She was always doing everything (sometimes too much) to make sure you were comfortable and felt welcome. She enjoyed having company.
Harlan and Bobbie’s home was filled with family, love, angels, and our lord and savior Jesus Christ everywhere you looked.
She spent her free time doing bible study with Harlan, playing fast track with anyone who wanted to sit down and enjoy a game with her, talking about her kitties, knitting afghans and hats for whomever wanted one. When mom had a free minute she would catch up on her favorite soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” She looked forward to her daily facetime visits with her best friend, her Aunt Cindie.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Anyone who met her felt her glow and embrace.
She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, husband Harlan, and siblings Peggy, Jim, Lee, and Jack.
Survivors include her three daughters, two sons, and their families, Peggy (Justin) Noyes, Missoula; Shane James, Austin, Texas; Jenise (Bill) Cockhill, Helena; Michelle (Troy) Downard, Missoula; Justin Erickson, Missoula; and siblings, Sharon, Bill, Rick, Becky, Ted, and 7 grandchildren: Chase, Austin, Eric, Ashtan, Alex, Anna, and Lily.
Visitation will be on Thursday August 28th at Garden City Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at the Missoula Veterans Cemetery where she will be reunited with her soulmate Harlan. A reception will immediately follow at Church of Christ, 1528 South Higgins Avenue in Missoula.
