Sam Arthur Martin Jr passed away on June 2, 2026 at the age of 46 years old.

Sam was born and raised in Missoula, MT and spent his entire life here. Sam had a way of finding peace in the simple things in life, often times this was his time spent farming or working on various projects with his father, Sam Sr, whom he idolized.

Sam’s family was the center of his life. In addition to his father, he shared an unbreakable bond with his older sisters, Mell and Kim. Sam leaves behind his son, Jordan who he constantly stated being a father to was his life’s greatest accomplishment. Those who know Sam and his son know the depths of which their relationship truly went to.

Sam will forever be remembered for the way he made people feel - welcomed, loved, and understood. His presence radiated the room with love and his strength and generous heart will continue to live on in those who he loved.

Though his time here was far too short, his reach and lessons he spread will remain forever. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and especially in his son, who will forever carry with him the words that defined their relationship: “I got you.”

And dad, I got you too.
