Sandra Shoupe Bergeson, 60, of Seeley Lake, Montana, passed away on February 15, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1965, in Great Falls, Montana, to Clarence and Dollie Shoupe.
Sandra graduated from Seeley-Swan High School in 1983. In 1984, she married Cliff Bergeson. Their union brought two children, Renee in 1985 and Steven in 1989, completing their family. Although Sandra and Cliff later parted ways, they remained friends until her passing.
Over the course of her life, Sandra held several different jobs, most recently working as a custodian at Seeley-Swan High School, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.
Sandra was kind, generous, and strong willed. She was always up for an adventure. Some of her favorite activities included picking huckleberries, rafting, fishing, and exploring the beautiful outdoors of Montana. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and rarely passed up a good game of cards. Sandra was known as one of the hardest workers around and was very skilled in DIY home improvements. She also found great joy in dog sitting and spending time with her beloved “granddogs.” Sandra also had the absolute best laugh.
Sandra was well known for her welcoming spirit. Her home was always open to friends and family, and she proudly hosted a memorable Fourth of July barbecue each year.
Sandra was a registered organ donor, a final act that reflected her lifelong generosity and compassion for others. Though only about one percent of donors are able to donate at the time of their passing, she was among that rare few. Through the gift of organ donation, she was able to save four lives—offering hope, healing and a future to others in their darkest moments. Even in her passing, her selflessness ensured that her legacy would live on in the lives she helped save.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Shoupe.
She is survived by her mother, Dollie Shoupe of Missoula; her daughter, Renee Bergeson (Kyle Darrow) of Seeley Lake; her son, Steve Bergeson (Amy) of Missoula; her beloved grandchildren, Kennedy, Eli, and Norah; and her brother, Ron Shoupe and (Jodi) of Ohio, and her partner Dan Cassidy of Seeley Lake.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Double Arrow Lodge Pavilion in Seeley Lake on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been established in Sandra’s name at Citizens Alliance Bank in Seeley Lake, Montana.
Sandra will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her strong work ethic, and the love she shared with her family, friends, and all who knew her.
