On September 14, 2025, we said goodbye to our beloved mom, wife, Mima, and friend, Sandra Josephine Brosious, age 71, of Missoula.
Sandra was born in Glendive, Montana, January 27th, 1954 and in 1958 moved with her family to Missoula, where they owned and operated the Big Chief Motel. She graduated from Hellgate High School and attended the University of Montana.
Sandra worked as an office manager for Rangitsch Brothers before continuing her career in accounting that allowed her to be home with her kids. She also played an active role in the family flooring business for many years.
Sandra lived a life filled with laughter, energy, and love. She was happiest surrounded by family, cheering on her grandchildren at sports, or spending time with her many pets. Her heart for animals was endless — she especially loved raising Westie puppies and spent countless hours on the local trails riding her horses with friends.
Her faith was extremely imprortant to her and she played an active role at Saint Francis Xaiver church as a Sacristan.
Movement and fitness were a part of her soul. From teaching kickboxing, to dancing at Oula classes, and later finding joy in Pickleball, Sandra had a way of bringing energy and happiness to everyone around her. Her greatest pride was her family.
Sandra leaves behind her husband Ronald Brown; her children Kayla (Scott) Johnson, Bryan Brosious, and MacKenzie Brosious; her grandchildren Uriah and Paisley Johnson; and her former husband, Joseph Brosious, who remained part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Minnie Hubbard, and her siblings Dona Mae, Don, Tim, and Gary.
Sandra’s smile and joyful spirit will be what we remember most — the way she lit up a room, filled it with laughter, and made every person feel loved and cared for.
A service to celebrate Sandra’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, at Saint Francis Xavier Church in Missoula.
