Sarah M. Bagley, 97, of Missoula, Montana, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Community Medical Center in Missoula following a period of declining health.
Sarah was born January 31, 1925 in Winfield, Alabama to Lester and Anne Beasley. While she was in high school she met Paul Bagley, for their first date he took her up in an bi-plane. He joined the Air Force and served during World War II while she dutifully waited for him to return safely. To their union two sons were born, Lester and Daniel.
Sarah and Paul moved a lot through the years and made their home in Georgia for many years. Upon Paul’s retirement they made their final move to Missoula to be nearer family. Sarah loved to spend time reading and with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Lester (Lou) and Dan Bagley; her former daughter-in-law Vicki Bagley; grandchildren: Becky, Deborah, Nathan, Justin and Danelle; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Paul; her parents Anne and Lester Beasley; and all of her siblings.
