Terri Wark

Theresa Sue Wark was born on December 6, 1951, in Missoula, Montana, to Ted and Mary Lou Nelson. She was lovingly known as Terri to her family and all who were blessed to know her.

She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 24, 2026, at 1:46 a.m., leaving behind her devoted husband of 57 years, Dick. Terri and Dick were high school sweethearts, growing up together and building a beautiful life and enduring marriage centered on their love for Christ, their children, their family and friends. Their love was a gift to everyone who witnessed it. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Mary Lou Nelson; her sister, Tedi Wingo; and their beloved son, Levi Wark.

Terri is survived by her children, Twila Bassler and Mandie Maestas, and their husbands, Herb Bassler and Matt Maestas; her siblings, Dianne Lewis, Ron Nelson and Greg Nelson; and her grandchildren, Mattie Wark, Connor Osborne, Hannah Hallford and Ben Hallford. Her favorite role in life was Grandma, and she was also a great-grandmother to Alex Cowley, Jaxon Cowley and Zayden Thomas. Oh, how she loved being a Grandma. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy, and she treasured every moment, every hug and every memory made with them.

Terri had a beautiful gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued and completely at home. Her generous heart, gentle spirit and gracious nature touched countless lives. She gave her love freely and made people feel cared for simply by being present. She will be remembered for her deep love of family and friends, her unwavering faith, her warmth and kindness, and the lasting impression she left on everyone who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of all she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Mission Valley Fellowship in Seeley Lake, Montana. In Liu of flowers please make a donation to Sparrows Vine, Loving Hearts or Mission Valley Fellowship. These hold a special meaning to her.
