Wendy Michele Rothman passed away on June 26th, 2025, in the care of St. Patrick Hospital after a sudden (but, thankfully, brief) battle with an aggressive form of cancer. She spent her last night surrounded by family and friends, who sang, laughed, and shared stories in her honor.
Wendy was born on November 8th, 1964, in New York City to Ronald Rothman and Joan Thompson. A troublemaker from an early age, her passion and adventurousness could not be contained by the concrete jungle, so she made the cross-country trek to Missoula, Montana, where she received her doctorate in psychology and met her former husband, Shayne Williams. They raised two children, Max and Hannah, who she loved fiercely and dearly.
She loved the Montana wilderness, and an ideal day for her would be spent fishing, whitewater rafting, skiing, hiking, or lounging by the Blackfoot River with her toes in the water. A mother and caregiver by nature, her professional life in her final years was devoted to her beloved clients at Opportunity Resources, to whom her family sends much love.
Wendy let it all hang out; the good and the bad. But she had a big heart, and she would give it all if she could. She will truly be missed.
"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be."
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
We will be holding a Celebration of Life at her home at 4PM on August 1st.
